Through Fragmented Memories is a 10-minute 3D short film exploring the ephemeral nature of memories, inspired by the surrealist worlds of Dali and concepts from the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
The film premiered exclusively at the Influences by The Mynt exhibition in New York City on October 7-8, 2021, where it was projected on an immersive 13 ft. tall by 60 ft. wide 3D LED screen.
The project brings RubenFro's surreal, volumetric worldbuilding into a cinematic short-film format. The large LED presentation turns memory into an environment rather than a flat image, while five connected fragments extend the film into collectible narrative pieces.
